In Scrumble of Life 2 I shared that The Artist (aka Martin King) has been a keen motorcyclist since the early 1970’s. Over the years he’s owned many different makes and models – including several Harley Davidsons.
As well as riding bikes, he also draws and paints them – in both traditional and digital media – neatly combining two of his major ‘passions’.
VOS #2 MY OLD IRONHEAD
Above is Martin’s digital painting of his first Harley, a hard tail ‘Ironhead’ Sportster chopper (hence the title.) Despite it’s technically accurate nature – yes, that is the correct engine serial number (who else would bother?) – there’s humour in this image: authentic signs; period adverts; ‘photos’ of his later Harleys; a parking ticket, a carved love message. And, of course, his logo (shown at the bottom of this page.)
Can you spot it?
Last week’s answer:
In VOS #1 there are two ‘hidden’ logos. In the top image it is (obviously) being sprayed out of The Artist’s paint can. It’s more discreet in ‘Address Unknown’ – but enlarge the picture and it can be found on top of the door frame. Congratulations to rumpydog, who was first to give us the correct answer – did you get it right?
